The National Association of Phlebotomy Technician Professionals is the nation’s leading organization for certifying phlebotomists and phlebotomy technicians. The NAPTP was founded in 1998 with the sole mission of establishing accepted guidelines and procedures to promote patient safety in the practice of phlebotomy and blood testing.
Though our established Code of Ethics, Scope of Practice, and certified National Testing program, the NAPTP has helped thousands of phlebotomists and phlebotomy technicians gain the expertise, knowledge, and skillset needed to excel in their careers.
The NAPTP was formed to help establish accepted guidelines and procedures to promote patient safety in phlebotomy and blood testing.
The NAPTP believes that every phlebotomist needs a Code of Ethics to guide them in upholding patient safety to the highest level and increase knowledge of the profession in phlebotomy.
Having a scope of practice assists the phlebotomist in knowing what they can and cannot do, thereby preventing events in which can make them liable.
