Calling all JUNIOR jockeys!!!!  New to racing?  Want to brush up on your skills?  What to interact with experienced timber jockeys?  If yes, then join NAPPA for their 2006 Maryland Spring Jr. Steeplechase Clinic.

We invite ALL skill levels to participate.  Don't be afraid to join in on the fun.  We will tend to the needs of all skill levels.  Students will learn everything from how to properly saddle their mount at the races, enter a race, dress for the races, negotiate their way safely around the racecourse..... and much much more.  The Juniors will be learning from top timber jockeys and trainers.  Teachers will include Anne Hambleton, Blythe Miller Davies, Joe Davies, Regina Welsh, and other possible last minute additions.

FORMAT:

• Arrive and fill out paper work (sign release and pay fee)
• Unmounted session (review racecourse tactitics, how to enter a race, how to dress to ride in the races, etc)
• Return to trailers to tack up
• Students will break up into 2 groups according to skill level for the mounted session.

Other Notes:

• Please allow 3 hours to complete the clinic. 
• ALL STUDENTS MUST WEAR ASTM APPROVED HELMETS and PROTECTIVE VESTS!!!!!!
• All students must have a parent or gaurdian present who can sign a saftey release.
• No whips will be allowed.
